At Curveball Creative, we believe in the transformative power of musical theatre to captivate and inspire. Specializing in small to mid-scale musicals, our mission is to provide a platform for emerging performers and new voices, fostering creativity, resourcefulness, and imagination.
We are proud to have produced the acclaimed live-streamed musical Who's Your Baghdaddy, or How I Started the Iraq War, which received a Critics Pick from the New York Times and streamed on BroadwayHD. During the pandemic, when a curveball was thrown our way, we pioneered custom-made technology found nowhere else in the world, allowing us to bring the magic of live theatre into homes in real-time.
As we look to the future, we're excited to be producing Once On This Island at the Hayes Theatre in August 2025. This production reflects our commitment to bringing vibrant stories to the stage while highlighting new talent and fresh perspectives.

Our Team
Keith Muir
Being involved in Musical Theatre for over half of his life, Keith has worked on countless productions with several different organisations and whilst he has no formal training, he has experience as a Stage Manager, Sound Designer, Technical Director and working in Business Management during the day has naturally led him to the management facets of Musical Theatre; as a Producer and Production Manager. Keith is very proud to be involved with the Broadway Musical Be More Chill as an investor.
Keith made his first foray into Independent Theatre in 2017, as the lead producer of RPG Productions’ “Big Fish” at Hayes Theatre Co. He also produced a new Australian work, Stalker: The Musical, written by David Russell and Alex Giles, at the Chicago Music Theatre Festival 2016 as well as at it’s Premiere Season at The Depot Theatre in 2018. As a founder of Manly Musical Society, Keith has been involved in producing Musical Theatre at an amateur level for 10 years. Taking the lead on most of the shows that Manly Musical Society has produced, including Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, Rent, Grease, Wicked and many more. He is also a Director of Beaches Productions, providing affordable hire of lighting and sound equipment to schools, musical societies, and theatres to enable them to do what they do without breaking their budgets.
Keith truly believes in the artist’s need to create and has dedicated a lot of his time and energy into facilitating that need in as many ways as he has been able.
Steven Kramer
Steven is a multi-faceted artist working as a musical director, pianist, composer, orchestrator, producer and cabaret performer.
He is currently the Associate Musical Director for the Australian production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. He has worked extensively with the eminent Hayes Theatre Company since its founding in 2014 with credits including Little Shop Of Horrors, Assassins, The Drowsy Chaperone, Rent, LOVEBiTES, She Loves Me, Side Show, Catch Me If You Can and Jekyll and Hyde for which he received a Sydney Theatre Award for Best Musical Direction.
Other Musical Direction credits include Friends: The Musical Parody (SK Entertainment) and Chicago (GFO).
As a pianist he has worked with many acclaimed companies and artists including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Paloma Faith, The City Recital Hall and Trevor Ashley.
As an arranger and orchestrator he has worked on several new works including The Dismissal (Squabbalogic), Evie May (Hayes Theatre), The Secret Singer (Darlinghurst), Never Let Me Go (Griffin) and Nosferatutu (Griffin). He collaborated with Courtney Act to write the opening number for the Sydney World Pride Domain Concert, which was broadcast on ABC. His award winning one-man cabaret I Sing Songs has been performed across the country and features his original music. He has also written original music for There's No One New Around You (Keira Daley, Mark Simpson), Neighbourhood Watch (Illuminate Educate) and In Stitches (Alex Giles). He was commissioned by Translucent Duo to write a double concerto for Saxophone, Marimba and Orchestra.
In 2020, as part of Curveball Creative, he produced and musically directed the acclaimed live-streamed musical Who’s Your Baghdaddy, or How I Started the Iraq War which received Critics Pick by the New York Times and streamed on Broadway HD.
Sam Ducker
Sam is currently the Venue Technical Manager at The Hayes Theatre.
Previously during his time at Darlinghurst Theatre Company he worked as Venue Technical Manager and production on Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812, Overflow and Once, amongst other events and productions. He worked as sound operator for Zombie! The Musical, A Little Night Music (HTC) and the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (September Remedy Productions).
As part of Curveball Creative produced the live-streamed production of Who’s Your Baghdaddy, or How I Started the Iraq War, This received a Critics Pick by the New York Times and was part of the Broadway HD catalogue.
He directed and produced [title of show] (Alter Ego) and directed the Australian Premieres of Be More Chill and 21 Chump St (Manly Musical Society) He is passionate about bringing new and interesting pieces of theatre to audiences in Sydney.
